Cupcake808 I really wish I'd found this stuff sooner as I wouldn't have even bothered buying a Clarisonic. I purchased the Mia 2 first then came across this clay after the fact and thought this would be great to use in addition to my Mia 2.

Full disclosure - I don't have problem skin, but am always looking for natural ways to keep my skin looking good. I have to say that in one use this made my skin look and feel fantastic. I love, love, love that it's natural and can be mixed with other natural and organic ingredients to customize to your needs. I'm pretty much stuck on the clay mixed with organic apple cider vinegar and organic honey - all are very reasonably priced ingredients that create a spa-quality mask that is super effective. I use about 2 round tsps of the clay, around 2 ½ tsps ACV, and 1 tsp honey. The Aztec Secret website has a couple of other recipes you can try. I'm going to try the other reviewer's suggestion of adding avocado since we have a ton of avocados from our tree and I do have combo/dry skin.

I use a large foundation brush to apply. A fan brush would also work great. I allow to dry for approx 30 minutes then I position a piece of newspaper on the counter or table and gently roll my fingertips over the dried mask to loosen up some of the clay over the newspaper. I read several warnings about this stuff clogging drains so you'll want to avoid rinsing it all off in your sink. Once I've gotten most of it off, I rinse my face with warm water. You could also get a large bowl of warm water and just rinse your face in that to avoid getting this stuff in your drains…I'd just dump the clay water in the yard. Your face will be red for a little while after, but you should still be able to see an improvement in the overall texture of your skin. The first time I used this mask I had some swelling and redness from a little pimple on my cheek. After the clay mask, only a bit of redness remained and I was able to cover up with a touch of concealer.

I've used this five times and am just obsessed with it. I have sensitive skin and no reactions or irritation following the mask.

Mellie This is an awesome and cheap clay mask that works to unplug your pores & tighten up your face. Great value! If you check the ingredients of pre-made masks, you'll see clay is usually at the top. With this stuff, it's 100% clay so you save a ton of money and get only the active ingredient. You can add whatever you want to each mask you make -- for example, mix some of this with banana or avocado + water or apple cider vinegar for a moisturizing and purifying mask.

MEC This face mask is a really good value. It is cheap compared to some of the other masks I have around my bathroom, but it actually has noticeable results. When you put it on your face it will tingle, and after you take it off your skin will be a little pink (but the instructions warn you about this). Once the pinkness went away my skin felt smoother and it seemed like my pores were smaller. The only amendment to the instructions I would make is that it says to use equal parts of the powder and liquid, but when you do it comes out very thick and is difficult to get off your skin. I got rid of this problem by adding a splash more of liquid, in order to thin out the consistency.

Jules I have fairly break-out prone skin, and bought this hoping to unclog my pores and "heal" my face. And although it seemed like my pores were noticeably unclogged after I would wash off the mask, I would ALWAYS have at least 2-3 pimples on my face within a few days of using it. I am not positive that this mask was the cause, but I am pretty sure. I would NOT suggest this for anyone who doesn't have naturally clear skin. I tried it both with the organic apple cider vinegar and with water.

Binks Love this product, it really works!

Shea' I brought this product to be use as a deep conditioning mask on natural hair to help remove toxins. I decided not to do so because I permanently colored my hair. I notice after reading the instruction, one of the ingredients "apple cider vinegar" can be harmful on your skin. Therefore, I decided to incorporate water in the mixture and found it better but less effective.
